Matthew Gibson's Music Experience
I have been writing music since my early teens starting out with imitating simple melodies I heard on pop records of the day. Since then I have encompassed a vast variety of influences including Rock, Dance, Classical, Jazz, Pop and Reggae to name just a few.
The main focus behind my work is on writing Electronic music fused with a variety of different styles, whilst not being afraid to cross mix genres.
I am accomplished at writing music accross a wide range of genres.
My main ambition is to write music for film, TV, commercials, computer games, video etc. i.e. be a media composer.
I have had a number of commisions to compose for websites, local videos and advertising.
I have the following qualifications:
Level 8 theory with the Assoctiated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM)
BA (Honours) Degree in Professional Media (TV and Film) composition
Level 8 in Keyboard
HND in Music Production
ND in Music Technology
I have a full DRB check certificate
