Jim began playing banjo some twenty years ago, learning Irish traditional music. He started with a basic instrument and eventually progressed to a hand made top quality instrument. Over the years Jim has realised that most banjo players would welcome a lighter instrument as long as the volume and tone were not compromised. Jim has developed a ???decaphonic?? rim and tone ring which is lighter than traditional Weymann rings and delivers the tone and volume banjo players need. Jim offers a range of hand made yet affordable high quality banjos.
